An Advance Review Copy (ARC) is a copy of a book sent to select readers in exchange for an honest review prior to release. 

Since reviews are crucial for independent authors, we send these copies to people we trust to post timely and honest reviews. These reviews can help readers unfamiliar with the author decide if they’d like to buy the book, gives the author quotes for promotions, and can help an author determine if there are last-minute changes that need to be made.

When an ARC is ready, I’ll contact my team. If you aren’t able to take on a read at that time, no worries! Feel free to decline the ARC. I’d rather you decline the chance to read the advance copy than to take one and not post a review. If you are able to take on the read and post reviews in a reasonable time, you’ll receive a free e-copy. In order to stay a member of my team, I do ask that you agree to post honest (and spoiler-free) reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and/or Bookbub no later than two days after release–however, prior to release is preferred.
